Complete your purchase on the VellumDoc portal. You'll receive a signed licence file by email — this is your key.
In the app, open the Licence tab and point it at the file you received. The app verifies it locally — no internet required.
Every feature for your edition is enabled immediately. The licence lives on your machine; nothing is checked against a server afterwards.
For air-gapped machines, generate a device fingerprint in the app, activate it on the portal from any connected device, and move the signed licence back by USB or QR.
Your licence covers a set number of devices. When you replace a machine, you release the seat from the old one and activate it on the new — no support ticket required.
In the Licence tab, choose Deactivate. The app retires the licence locally and gives you a short release code.
Enter that code on the portal. It verifies the release and frees the seat for reuse.
Add your licence to the new machine as normal. The freed seat activates immediately.
Locked out by a hardware change or a clock issue? The portal can issue a one-time, machine-bound reset token to unlock a genuine licence.
